LOS ANGELES - The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association has appointed Edwin S. Brown as its ambassador to Germany.
Brown is the director of business development for Unzipped Media. As an IGLTA ambassador, he will provide support and assistance to members of the travel trade association by introducing them to destinations, media outlets and regional and national tourism offices in Germany. Additionally, he will coordinate IGLTA networking events in major German cities.
"It is truly an honor to become the German Ambassador for IGLTA," Brown said. "For more than 25 years, IGLTA has been connecting the gay traveler with luxury tourist destinations around the world."
Brown also said he feels his position at Unzipped provides an opportunity for the travel industry to reach a new audience: readers of the company's publications and websites, including Men, Freshmen and Unzipped magazines.
Unzipped Media and IGLTA will host a cocktail reception in Brown's honor March 12 at the newly opened Axel Hotel in Berlin.
