Dark Alley to Release ‘Crude’

NEW YORK - Gay adult studio Dark Alley Media is readying its newest title, Crude, a combined condom and bareback feature that stars 10 men and a barrel of unrefined petroleum.

"These are tough economic times," said Dark Alley president Owen Hawk, who directed and stars in the flick. "Studios are cutting everywhere, so why should we continue to pay $30 for a 16-ounce bottle of fancy lube when for $40 you can have an entire barrel full of crude oil? I personally bought 15 barrels, and I have my lube supply to last the next 10 years."

Hawk's enthusiasm for Big Oil features prominently in Crude, which opens with a motor-oil enema. Hawk said he believes the scene to be a first-of-its-kind exploration of hardcore kink.

"This is our first big movie of the year, and it's very in line with Dark Alley: kinky and topical," he said.

The director's cut version of Crude runs 150 minutes, Hawk said, and features an unedited fisting scene. It also contains the first bareback scene between Tristan Matthews and his real-life husband Andy Kirra. The trailer, available for viewing at DarkAlley.com, incorporates a voiceover in Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's dulcet tones.

"Pre-book sales are through the roof," said Dark Alley sales and distribution manager James. "Crude will be the big movie of the spring, and to kick it off we are planning worldwide release parties in New York, London and Berlin."

DVD pre-orders may be accomplished at DarkAlley.com. According to Hawk, during the pre-order period the feature's price is fixed at the same price as a barrel of oil - currently $43.56.
