Cybersocket Teams with CommerceGate

BARCELONA - Gay publishing stalwart Cybersocket has signed on as a client of Internet payment and merchant services provider CommerceGate, the companies announced Tuesday.

CommerceGate chief executive officer Bjorn Skärlen said the deal is just one example of how his company has been expanding alliances in diverse markets.

"Over the years we have established a very strong and dynamic foothold in the adult gay market," Skärlen said. "Adding Cybersocket as a client was one of our main objectives for this year, and we look forward to continuing to expand our relationships in this market."

Cybersocket co-founder Morgan Sommer said his company looks for ways to ease its interactions with consumers and businesses, and partnering with CommerceGate for financial processing just "made sense."

"We have always set very high standards for our business," he said. "Adding one of the top processors in our industry, CommerceGate, as our secondary processor across the board, fit our strict criteria and made sound financial sense."

Through strategic partnerships with other processors like DHD Media and SegPay, CommerceGate offers a broad range of international and domestic services that are utilized by some of the largest programs in the adult vertical, Skärlen noted. With multiple banking relationships around the world, CommerceGate strives to provide stability and robustness through redundant processing systems, proprietary safe-guards and advanced fraud filters, among other methods, he added.

CommerceGate offers client service offices in California, Florida and Barcelona, along with 24/7 customer service in the United States, Spain, Canada, Panama and the Philippines.

"We are truly a global solution" Skärlen said.
