MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—One thing performer-producer-director Collin O’Neal has discovered about running a gay adult studio with minimal overhead is that the owners get to wear many hats. However, done right, all those costume changes can be exciting.
Last week, O’Neal and business partner Rich Richards distributed 500 copies of O’Neal’s latest DVD, World of Men: Turkey in Los Angeles, then flew to Miami and sold another 400 in two days before departing for Columbia to begin principal photography on an upcoming title featuring Columbian men.
“As you all know, Rich and I fly all over the world all the time, but this time we combined sales and adventure, and that led to amazing profits,” O’Neal said.
World of Men: Turkey was filmed during a Turkish government raid on an Al-Qaeda hideout in the city of Gaziantep earlier this year.
“A lot more than usual was going on during that trip,” O’Neal said. “I had to personally cross the Syrian border with my model Jesus to pick up my Syrian bodybuilder model Jacko and bring him back to Turkey.”
The movie also stars Venezuelan performer Jean Franco and muscular newcomers Pascal and Sam.
“One of my favorite things to do is use my accumulated frequent flyer miles to bring guys from all over to exotic locations,” O’Neal said. “The models love it, too, and always thank me for a great vacation.”
O’Neal said he is particularly excited to get the raw Columbian footage edited and released. World of Men: Columbia is expected to hit the streets in November.
“Colombia has not only some of the most amazing men I have seen, but the country is beautiful and the people are some of the nicest in the world,” he said.
In the midst of the rest of a busy schedule, O’Neal said he has had to combat persistent rumors his website is closing.
“Do not believe the rumors that my website is closing down,” he said. “CollinOneal.com now has a full explanation of what happened [posted on the homepage] and will be back up with my exclusive content around Oct 15.”
