CHICAGO—Canada’s 24/7 gay porn channel Hardtv is set to premier “Saturday Night at the Bijou,” March 5 at 9 p.m., presenting classic gay erotic films from Bijou Video. In conjunction with Squirt.org, “Saturday Night at the Bijou” will feature two Bijou Classic films every Saturday night in March and April.
The presentation will include in-depth reviews and critiques of the films, a la the famed “Siskel and Ebert” format, hosted by Richard Ryder of 103.9 FM and “This week on OUTtv,” and Brett Drysdale. Ryder and Drysdale will discuss each film presented along with the filmmakers, the stars, the era and the politics of the time the films were made. Bijou Video has meticulously re-stored all of the films for this program.
Included with this press release is the magazine and newspaper advertisement for Saturday Night at the Bijou that ran in Toronto publications. Additionally, FAB Magazine ran a feature article on vintage porn noting Bijou Classic films 40th anniversary and the launch of Hardtv’s “Saturday Night at the Bijou.”
