LOS ANGELES, CA — Boys Town Studios, the first non-profit porn studio that falls under the Monarchy Distribution umbrella, has announced its second title Put it in Putin.
Monarchy announced the launch of Boys Town Studios in early August. One hundred percent of all profits made from cable, VOD and DVD sales will be donated to charities and individuals that give back to the LGBT communities or need some sort of financial aid.
The first title, Deep in the Dark, which includes five vignettes is slated for release in late October.
The launch of the studio was prompted by the extremist homophobic treatment and lawmaking taking place in Russia. Monarchy owner Mike Kulich stated that the proceeds from the first film would go to Gay Russian refugees seeking asylum in other countries.
Put it in Putin is exactly what it sounds like. The synopsis is Putin grows up behind the red curtain and has to spend his whole childhood hiding who he really is. As he slowly climbs the ranks in the Russian military, he meets a Lieutenant in the Red Army named Alexander. They become best friends and once Putin is thrust into power, Alexander becomes his personal bodyguard. One day while both men are riding through Siberia on horseback, Alexander finally makes his move and the rest is history.
"We are really excited to get rolling on this movie," said Boys Town Studios owner Mike Kulich. "This one is going to be a love story for the ages. It's like Brokeback Mountain meets Communism."
Boys Town Studios is hoping for a mid-November release date for Put it in Putin.
Boys Town Studios is currently developing its website and VOD platform at BoysTownStudios.com.
