ATLANTA—Georgia-based Black Rayne Productions has announced a new partnership with one of the industry’s largest events and purveyors of urban erotica. Following a meteoric rise and undeniable success in 2011, Black Rayne has decided to move forward and join forces with the Urban X Awards.
The Urban X Awards, which celebrates all aspects of urban erotica, offers live entertainment, audience participation, red-carpet entrance, V.I.P seating and an after party, as well as the most influential names in urban and ethnic adult movies. Dedicated to honoring everyone in the adult entertainment industry who creates ethnic content celebrating all genres, including transsexual, gay, interracial and Latin, the Urban X Awards are all about recognizing the achievements of producers, models and agents alike, as well as hosting the yearly Urban X convention.
“It only makes sense for our team to join forces with the super powers of the straight industry,” said Black Rayne owner/producer, Que Santiago. “Adult movies are adult movies no matter what side of the coin you look at. It is unfortunate that most gay awards and periodicals don’t give enough credit and attention to black owned and operated studios. However, understand that up until recently black gay studios were making less than award winning high quality content. Now that there are companies such as ours that have made a commitment to producing high quality content that is in line with our straight counterparts, we are excited and hope to rub shoulders with some of the straight industry superstars and possibly bring you some hot bisexual content in the approaching months."
The 2011 Urban X Awards take place July 23 at the 740 Club in downtown Los Angeles, at 753 Spring St. Hosted by Nyomi Banxxx and Alexander Devoe, the Urban X Expo will take place in Atlanta, Georgia later this year.
