Ben Leon Takes Charge of AEBN Argentina Gay Division

BUENOS AIRES - As part of the recent merger between video-on-demand provider AEBN and gay adult movie producer Raging Stallion Studios, award-winning director Ben Leon has been assigned to head Raging Stallion's new Argentina operation.

Raging Stallion President Chris Ward said he appointed Leon to head the division "because of his raw talent."

"Ben has shared with me many awards over the years," Ward said. "He is one of the industry's top directing talents. I decided that sending him to Argentina to shoot high-quality films will offer customers very exciting product."

In early February, Leon and RSS vice president and head photographer Kent Taylor traveled to Buenos Aires to shoot the first in a new series of Argentina-based gay erotic movies. The production, which wrapped last week, was a great success and indicates a bright future for hot, high-end Argentinean gay porn, Ward said.

RSS plans to film four to six feature films each year at its Buenos Aires studio, ramping up the company's release schedule for 2009 and 2010. In 2008 the studio released 48 films. The current schedule for 2009 is 65 films, with a goal of 75 films to be released in 2010, Ward said.

The as-yet-untitled feature that was just shot includes both stars and never-before-seen faces from Argentina. Max Schutler, Pedro Andreas and Daniel Marvin head the cast of nine players.

"Directing in a foreign country is a thrill and a challenge," Leon said. "Buenos Aires is a huge city spreading forever across the flat land of Argentina and spilling onto the coast. The city is ripe and vibrant, and I hope to capture the beauty of South America.

"New men and new locations offer a director exciting opportunities," he added. "I look forward to expanding my reach as a director and bringing the heat and sexuality of South America to the rest of the world - not to mention brushing up on my Spanish."

According to Taylor, "One of the most amazing things about shooting in Buenos Aires is the look of these gorgeous, incredibly masculine men. They are from all over the world, so they have a European-Latin exotic look unlike anywhere else I have seen, and the guys were so excited to be working with us. I have no doubt that our work in Argentina is going to create a whole new line that people will love and look forward to."
