SOUTH PARIS, Maine - All Boys Distribution will begin shipping Innocents, the latest title from European twink studio OTB Video, on April 23. The title is expected to arrive in North American stores April 30.
"This is going to change the face of Euro-twink bareback films forever and challenge all bareback studios to increase their production values and quality, as bareback films are no longer an underground portion of the business," All Boys president Rob Ragan said.
"OTB Video has been a consistent 'go-to' since they came to me back in the summer of 2007, producing hit after hit and winning award after award for their now-famous Cumparty series," he added. "Over the last few years, the series has won for best feature and beat out Bel Ami's XXL Files for best series in Europe. Europe doesn't distinguish between condom and bareback films the way some do here in the States. In Europe, awards are given for the best films and studios rather than the best political advocate."
Ragan's political advocacy extends to allowing individuals and studios to participate in and produce the kinds of videos the market wants to buy, he said. He added that bareback content receives undeserved criticism if the material is produced in a careful, health-conscious way.
"OTB has traditionally been a very responsible studio when it comes to protecting their models and making damn good and sure they're as protected from [sexually transmitted diseases] as humanly possible," he said. "To lump them, or anyone else that produces bareback films in a responsible and professional manner, with those that do not is absolutely ridiculous. Adult films should only be considered for awards based on the quality and sex that goes into each film. OTB's films are definitely some of the hottest in the world, and have been for the last five years."
According to All Boys vice president Craig Rivas, the production values exhibited by Innocents are higher than normal for a video of its type.
"Everyone that has watched the trailer was completely blown away by the quality and the fact this is an actual storyline series, as if you were watching something produced in Hollywood as an action drama," he said. "The response has been overwhelming thus far. From all that I have seen, I think we have an actual runaway hit on our hands."
