All Boys Streets Sk8erboy’s ‘Skaterfucker’

SOUTH PARIS, Maine All Boys Distribution has begun shipping Euro studio Sk8erboy’s debut title, Skaterfucker.

“The [distribution] deal has been in place now for several months,” All Boys president Rob Ragan said, but the title was slow to market due to some unavoidable technical wrinkles. “It was more a matter of converting from PAL [video format] into NTSC than anything else.

“I had [Sk8erboy] proposed to me [as a North American client] last year by Andi, who runs All Boys Europe,” Ragan continued. “After doing a little research on Sk8erboy, I found they had at the time already won awards for Best New Studio and Feature over there, so that was about all I needed to agree to take them on as their exclusive representation here in North America.”

Sk8erboy won the 2008 prize for Best European Studio during the European Gay Porn Awards ceremony, and All Boys vice president Craig Rivas said he wasn’t the least bit surprised.

All the studio’s titles are “shot in a wonderful manner in which all angles are used in the best possible way, making each film literally golden,” Rivas said. “We’re very honored that any studio of this caliber would come to us to represent them, as the market has been so volatile over the last few months.

“We actually had to make room for this studio, as we [previously] had decided we would limit the amount of companies we represented so we could better concentrate on the higher quality and better-shot productions rather than just taking anyone that wanted representation,” he added. “With the market doing as badly as it has been, we know that what we have right now in our studio that are exclusive are studios that will sell and rent at all levels throughout the industry. Our studios are as good as, if not better than, any other releasing company in the business, from top to bottom.”

Ragan said All Boys probably won’t be accepting any more distribution clients for some time.

“We’ve just come to the conclusion that what we have is very, very good across the board, and for us to even attempt to add anything else would just take away from what we have,” he said. “I’m just not willing to do that, as I have a wonderful relationship with all of them now and wouldn’t change that for anything in the world.”

Skaterfucker began shipping Thursday, with a street date of May 7. For more information, contact Ragan via email or call (877) 5-ALLBOY.
