ASG Entertainment to Require Full-Panel STD Testing

TEMPE, Ariz. - ASG Entertainment has joined a growing cadre of gay adult entertainment studios that require all models to undergo full-panel STD testing before appearing in sex scenes.

"I wanted to address what is to me an alarming issue," ASG chief executive officer Angel Skye explained. "I lived in Florida for some time, and it was there that I came face-to-face with what HIV was. I did not grow up around the gay scene at all, and it was alarming to me how normal an issue HIV is in the gay community. I felt as if it is almost expected for gay men at some point to become HIV-positive. I wanted to reach out in hopes I can impact at least one person and help increase awareness that is possible to be sexy and sexual but also safe."

Skye said performers are the lifeblood of the adult entertainment industry, but too many companies accept health risks as one of the costs of doing business in what he called "the skin industry."

"I believe very strongly that I am nothing without my models," he said. "Therefore, as opposed to looking at the money they make me in the short term, I would much rather treat them with the respect and integrity they deserve so that we can continue to make money together for years to come."

Furthermore, Skye said his studio would work with no talent agencies besides Fabscout Entertainment.

Fabscout owner "Howard [Andrew] always has taken care of his models, and I know he will not steer me wrong," Skye said.

As for features, ASG plans to lens three in 2009. In April the studio will begin filming Wild in the Big Apple starring Kurt Wild. Puddles of Cum will follow, and The Heartbreak Kings will be the final title for this year.
