CHARLOTTE, NC—Web-based video-on-demand network AEBN has signed an exclusive partnership deal with adult studio Treasure Island Media. Under the terms of the agreement, Treasure Island granted AEBN exclusive VOD rights to TIM’s entire catalog of gay titles.
San Francisco-based TIM specializes in documentary-style gay bareback videos. Founded by Paul Morris, Treasure Island has become synonymous with some of the most provocative filmmaking in the gay porn world since its debut in 1998.
The studio first signed with AEBN in 2004, and the companies have enjoyed a successful relationship since, according to AEBN spokesman Chris Baker. In 2006, Treasure Island Media received AEBN’s “Studio of the Year” VOD Award. TIM exclusive model Dawson was honored as “Performer of the Year” in 2007.
“I handled our original deal with Treasure Island myself,” Baker recalled. “I was surprised by how they instantly shined on our network. In the years since, they have continued to be one of our standout studio partners.
“To have this partnership in place where we will be streaming their content exclusively is amazing,” he said. “I am so excited to see what the coming months bring.”
TIM General Manager Matt Mason said the AEBN deal is part of the studio’s plan to make its content as widely available as possible.
“Our TIM community is important to us, and we look forward to offering them our content on AEBN’s network,” he said. “We are also excited about the future marketing of AEBN’s new interactive RealTouch technology that will feature Treasure Island content.”
AEBN plans to launch several new TIM titles in early August. The companies will continue with an aggressive release schedule throughout the remainder of 2009, Baker said.
