LOS ANGELES—For the fifth year in a row, 10% and Provocateur—both divisions of LGBT publisher Village Lighthouse Inc.—have seen their products honored by the Calendar Marketing Association. Three of the companies’ combined entries received gold or silver awards for content and design during the National and World Calendar Award competitions.
Wall calendars produced by 10% earned two awards. Boyfriend of the Month, featuring photography by Ohm Phanphiroj, won the National Calendar Award Competition’s gold award for Best Glamour Photography. Magnifique, featuring photography by Fred Goudon, won the Silver Award for Best Glamour Photography in the World Calendar Award Competition.
A Provocateur wall calendar, Women, snagged the World Calendar Award Competition’s gold prize for Best Black & White Photography. The calendar displays the work of Renée Jacobs.
Both companies currently seek submissions for their 2011 calendar lines, which will be published in May 2010. Content decisions will be made later this fall, a spokesperson said. Photographers who wish to be considered may review the online submission guidelines at VillageLighthouse.com/artsubmissions before sending examples of their work via email.
