Zero Tolerance Entertainment has announced the formation of a new offshoot company, Black Ice Limited, which will specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of black and interracial fare.
“The evolution of Black Ice came from the feedback that we’ve received from retailers and consumers; wherein they lamented over the lack of consistency and quality in the Black-on-Black and Interracial genres,” explained Zero Tolerance president Greg Alves. “Recognizing an opportunity, we’ve decided to attack this share of the marketplace with the same energy that has become synonymous with Zero Tolerance.”
“Black Ice will focus exclusively on the black and interracial markets,” explained Tony Santoro, Black Ice's general manager. “We are prepared to make our mark on the black-on-black and interracial genres. Our business plan – which is consistent with Zero Tolerance’s – includes the branding of a quality product. We will be focusing on production values, the quality of our performers and new and innovative concepts in packaging.”
Black Ice will initially release two titles per month – however, plans call for the company to increase their release schedule to four titles per month by January '06. Black Ice will also introduce exclusive directors Brian Pumper and Dawayne Dane.
Black Ice will debut with Pumper’s Let Off In Me (Oct. 18) and Crazy Big Booty (Nov. 1), while Dane will make his directorial debut with Mo’ Betta Black (Nov. 15).
