Woodman Signs Japan Distro Deal

BARCELONA - Woodman Entertainment has signed an agreement with Toyko-based distributor IS Enterprise to bring Woodman's DVD releases to the Japanese market.

"The Far East, and particularly Japan, represents an increasingly important part of the market for adult content both in terms of DVD distribution and the huge potential for online and mobile distribution platforms," said company head Pierre Woodman. "I have complete confidence that in partnership with IS Enterprise we will ensure that Woodman Entertainment enters the Asian market from the very strongest possible position."

The deal encompasses all Woodman Entertainment DVD releases. IS Enterprise will recut the material in complaince with "Japan's demanding linguistic, legal and technical requirements," according to Woodman.

While negotiating the deal in Tokyo, Woodman seized the occasion to shoot content for his upcoming Sex Carnage line with a mix of Japanese female talent and European male talent. According to a Woodman Entertainment press release, these are the first hardcore scenes to be shot by a European director in Japan.
