Will Ryder Wraps Adam & Eve Pic 'Love, Sex & Music'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—AVN Hall of Fame director Will Ryder has wrapped initial production on his latest feature Love, Sex & Music, a drama set amidst the backdrop of the country music scene in Nashville, Tennessee.

The movie stars September Reign as Dixie, an aspiring singer/songwriter who moves to Nashville with hopes of becoming a country music star, but is met with a den of racism, lies, court cases and despair. Desperate for acceptance, she befriends a fading country music "has-been" 40 years her senior, only to see their duet shockingly reach #1 on the country charts.

“When I first read the script, it didn’t dawn on me that I would be playing the lead role,” Reign said. “All I knew was I loved the story and would have taken any role just to be in the movie. I was shocked and happy when Will informed me yes, I would be playing the lead character. It’s a dream role.”

“Nashville is seriously no joke, it’s cut-throat and September played the part of Dixie like she had actually experienced life in the country music business. She was so good,” Ryder commended.

Ryder actually did experience life in the Nashville music business back in the late 1990s when he teamed to put together the country boy-band South Sixty Five.

“I harvested many of my country music reference points from my days in Nashville when I worked with some extremely opinionated A&R record label people in the country music scene," he recalled.

“It was a very big production,” added co-producer Scott David. “Our cast, crew, story and the original country music specifically written and recorded for this movie is fantastic. The main song will be stuck in your head for days.”

Reign is joined in the cast by Vanna Bardot as a rival pop princess superstar, along with Whitney Wright, Nina Elle, Misty Stone, Madison Summer, Zerella Skies, Cecilia Taylor, April Love and newcomer Samantha Lexi. Making up the male contingent are Jay Romero, Dorian Del Isla, Joshua Lewis, Rusty Nails, James Bartholet and Frank Bukkwyd as the grizzled country music veteran. Ryder steps in front of the camera to play the prosecuting attorney.

Noting that the studio greenlighted the production immediately after hearing the synopsis, Adam & Eve head of production Rachel V. remarked, “We didn’t have to wait to read the full script. “We loved what this story was all about from the very first conversation and synopsis.”

“Let’s give credit to Adam & Eve for recognizing we can tell a marginalized person’s story, lift her up, knock her down and be wildly entertaining as we fill the screen with drama,” Ryder said.

Love, Sex & Music is the fourth in a line of features which began with the award-winning Love, Sex & TV News. Love, Sex & Lawyers came second, and this month sees the release of Love, Sex & Fashion. Set to street April 19 on DVD, the Love, Sex & Fashion SFW trailer can be viewed here.
