Wicked Pictures Announces Two Big Premieres

CANOGA PARK, Calif. - Wicked Pictures is gearing up for awards season with two giant premiere galas planned for September.

The premiere party for Stormy Daniels' mega-budgeted comedy Operation Desert Stormy is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19. On hand for the celebration will be director/star Stormy Daniels, as well as co-headliner Veronica Rayne and fellow pornstresses Eva Angelina, Tory Lane, Nakita Kash and many other stars to be announced.

To tie in with the release of Brad Armstrong's Iraq war drama Coming Home, Wicked will hold a special benefit gala on Sunday, September 23 to raise money for America's troops.

"We didn't want to just throw another Hollywood party," Armstrong told AVN. "So we're going to do more like a day thing, where we're gonna have it more like a barbeque, and have the rock wall climb, and the dunk tank, and tie everything all in with military décor, and have a little obstacle course ... as opposed to, 'Oh, look, we're at a bar again.' Just make it more of that carnival/barbecue environment, and get all the girls up there in cute little army shorts and stuff, and make a day of it."

American Veterans Center in North Hills is already on board with the Wicked benefit, but there has been some governmental red tape for others in accepting funds from the adult sector.

"As bad as they need the money, a lot of times the charities have to go through bureaucratic bullshit, and the government is saying 'no porno,'" Armstrong said. "It's sad, and it's breaking the administrators' hearts of the individual charities, because they're begging for the money, and the government doesn't want to make dirty money. It's crazy. So a lot of it's gonna have to be kind of anonymous."

Nonetheless, Armstrong said, "We're going to try to round up as many [charities] as will take our money."

Both events are invite-only, and to be held in undisclosed locations. To learn more about Coming Home and Operation Desert Stormy, go to www.wickedpictures.com.
