Wicked, Holly Randall Tell a Tale That's 'Stranger Than Fiction'

LOS ANGELES—Wicked Pictures announced today the release of Stranger Than Fiction, the third movie directed for the studio by filmmaker, photographer, podcaster, and author Holly Randall. The movie is available now for purchase on DVD and streaming on Wicked.com. Randall, the daughter of famed adult photographer and director Suze Randall, helmed also helmed the couples-oriented features Graphic Content and the Casey Calvert vehicle Sexual Fidelity.

As Randall's latest begins, audiences are introduced to Evelyn (Kenna James), a shy, mid-level copyrighter at Wrightwood Publishing. But behind the frumpy façade, Evelyn enjoys a new career as a break-out bestselling author under the pseudonym Maxine Powers. When handsome novelist Drew McClintock signs on as her company’s newest contract star, Evelyn knows that she must become someone else to win Drew’s affections. And thus Maxine Powers comes to life as Evelyn gives herself a complete makeover. However, a jealous co-worker (Ana Foxxx) sets out to reveal Maxine’s true identity.

Stranger Than Fiction is anchored with a nuanced lead performance by Kenna James. From her work in Axel Braun's 2019 AVN Movie of the Year The Possession of Mrs. Hyde to her current role in Hank Hoffman's all-girl drama Kiss Me, Kenna is having a big year at Wicked. Co-starring Aaliyah Love, Jake Adams, Small Hands, Ana Foxxx and Damon Dice, this 129-minute drama is squarely aimed at fans of high-end couples erotica.
