Calculated from results based on total year-long sales data from AdultEmpire.com, the company's latest report, 2016: The Best of the Best, reveals fans' favorites, with a few surprises, as well as 2016: Top Trends on AE, which showcase the top 10 trending adult film stars, top 10 trending DVD genres, top ten trending studios and the top 10 trending search terms, all for 2016.
Julia Ann was overwhelmingly the 2016 AE fan favorite; the legendary Blondage actress was chosen as Favorite MILF Performer as well as Top Trending Porn Star of the Year.
Viewers also chose IR (Blacked's Interracial Orgies), BDSM (New Sensations' The Submission of Emma Marx: Exposed) and stylish/romantic erotica (Digital Sins' Lust Unleashed 9) as their top DVD and VOD purchases.
Blacked was the #1 trending search term on the site, Evil Angel was the top trending DVD studio, and gonzo was the top genre of the year.
