Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch is among the celebrities named to Time magazine's "Alt-100" list.
The "Alt 100" appears in the magazine's May 1 issue as a companion to the "Time 100," which lists "the 100 men and women whose power, talent or moral example is transforming the world."
Time contributor Joel Stein compiled the alternate list of "100 people who actually influence society" with help from rapper/MTV host Xzibit, Hugh Hefner's girlfriend Bridget Marquardt (The Girls Next Door), UFC fighter Eddie Sanchez, "krump dancer" Tommy the Clown, spray-tanner Jimmy Jimmy Coco, hairstylist Dr. Boogie and party planner Glenda Borden.
Hirsch came in at #58 on the list, which is topped by Al Gore and goes on to rank such disparate personalities as Paris Hilton and Jesus Christ ("There was no talking Jesus off the list.")
Of Hirsch, Stein wrote: "A friend of Glenda's, his video company buys up most of the celebrity sex tapes. And, more importantly, didn't buy the Screech one."
"It's very flattering, although if I had been compiling the list, President Clinton would have come before me," Hirsch told AVN.com.
