Vivid Moves Ahead With Distribution of Kim Kardashian Sex Video

Vivid Entertainment has decided to proceed with distribution of its controversial celebrity sex-vid Kim Kardashian Superstar, despite a lawsuit filed by Kardashian's attorneys.  According to Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch, the video will be arrive in stores by Wednesday, March 21.

"I met with Kim yesterday and unfortunately, we didn't even come close to reaching an agreement," Hirsch said.  "We will now immediately move forward with the release.  We still remain open to any further discussion with Kim as we would like her to benefit from sales of the DVD."

Vivid will post a new preview clip from the title starting next week at www.kimksuperstar.com.

On Feb. 26, Hirsch announced that he would temporarily halt distribution of the DVD in light of the Kardashian lawsuit, which was filed on Feb. 21 in Los Angeles Superior Court. At the time, Hirsch expressed his wish to resolve the legal situation with Ms. Kardashian, but stated that he was "confident that [Vivid] has a legal right to distribute the video."

Kim Kardashian Superstar features hardcore footage of Kardashian having sex with her ex-boyfriend, actor and hip-hop artist Ray J.

Vivid paid an unidentified third party $1 million for the scandalous video, which was shot three years ago while Kardashian and Ray J were dating.  Kardashian, a close friend of sex-tape star Paris Hilton, is the daughter of O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian. Her mother is married to Olympic Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner.
