UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Director Vena Virago and the cast of her new movie Honey Bunny will host a release party this Thursday night at Little Joy Cocktails.
The public is invited meet the cast of Honey Bunny, including Adrianna Nicole, Max Mikita and Varla Vexx, at the bar located at 1477 Sunset Blvd. in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles, 90026.
"Honey Bunny offers unique insight into Virago's own persona as an artist and pornographer, delivering a multi-faceted work that exists as a film, a performance piece and an art show," said Eon McKai, founder of Vivid-Alt.
In the movie, Page is thrust into a brightly-colored fairytale world of "thumping sex" and obsession. Page playfully discusses rabbits as she is propelled on her journey through Virago's abstract world of triple-X.
A limited number of party attendees will receive a coupon good for 20 percent off any purchase at Circus of Books (4001 Sunset Blvd. in Silverlake or 8230 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood) in honor of the movie's release.
Circus of Books is perhaps best known for an "adult section which caters to every taste that can legitimately be sold" and for the Circus Gallery. The gallery housed Virago's first solo LA exhibition in May/June and featured three scenes from Honey Bunny. The show consisted of paintings, drawings and fabric works, most of which were displayed in the movie as backdrops and set design.
