Victoria Sin Announces Plans to Retire

LOS ANGELES - Adult performer Victoria Sin told AVN she plans to retire from the adult industry in May.

The German-born starlet has performed in about 400 sex scenes since starting her career in 2004.

"It's just about time," Sin said during a recent visit to AVN. "I started about four years ago and I was always on and off in this industry. Coming from Europe I didn't really have a straight career. I always had to go back. I was in Germany for five months, here for three months, back to Germany..."

Sin said she plans to visit her native country again in May before returning to Los Angeles to become a fitness trainer. She already earned her first certification, and eventually Sin would like to train athletes.

"Who knows what's going to happen. That's probably going to take another two years," she said. "When I was young I used to do a lot of sports. I was muscle building, long distance running, swimming. I was ripped ages ago... I want to get back there."

Sin said her final sex scene would be either for Joe Gallant or Julie Simone depending on when she returns to Germany.

The former paralegal said overall porn has been a positive experience.

"Most of [the scenes] were definitely fun, easy. I met some good people. It was interesting," she said. "Some of them you like more, obviously. Altogether it was definitely a fun time. ... It's easy money, you go to work, you have people that care about you, they do your makeup, you do your scene, it's just fun. It's better than sitting in an office for 10 hours every day Monday to Friday working for an attorney who is always in a bad mood."

Sin continued, "Porn is definitely a fun time. But it's definitely not a career, especially not any more. I mean, it's 2008 and not the ‘90s anymore. There is so much competition now in the industry and the quality of the girls changed and the movies changed. Everything just changed. DVD sales are so bad right now pretty much for everybody so it's all about the Internet and finding a niche."

The 28-year-old star grew up in a small town in eastern Germany and lived in Berlin for five years before coming to Los Angeles for the first time. She performed in about five sex scenes in Germany, where she met male performer Sascha Koch who introduced her to agent Dick Nasty. Sin came to LA for a three-week vacation in 2004 and that turned into three months.

A few hundred scenes later, Sin cites her two favorite movies as Hell's Kitten for Playgirl and Broken for Teravision.

"I am actually very spontaneous. I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for porn," Sin said. "I definitely got it good. I just have to see where I'll be working at now."

One of Sin's current pursuits is working with her roommate on New Dawn Pet Rescue, which saves animals and is the subject of a documentary.

She says she has no regrets about her porn career.

"I'm the oldest of five. I was always really shy, but I lost it. I'm not shy any more," said Sin, who has been represented by Lisa Ann Talent Management for the past year. "I was always very sexual. Even my very first time when I was 15 it was in public. Since I've been in porn I found out more what I like. There are things in the industry you would never do in your private life, but I like it. It's good. Like d.p.'s. You don't get two guys to go home with you and both fuck you at the same time, believe me I tried."
