LOS ANGELES—Adult industry veteran David Peskin told AVN Friday he has retired from the adult industry and has accepted a new opportunity at an investment firm.
Peskin, the sales manager for Exquisite Multimedia since Sept. 2015, started his career in adult in 1996-97 selling Snatch Productions and Samurai.
He is perhaps best known as the former national sales manager for Vivid Entertainment, Club Jenna and Teravision.
He said on Monday he’ll start a new job at a Beverly Hills-based commodities firm that specializes in gold and silver, IRA and 401K rollovers.
“I’ve known one of the partners who is the president of the firm for 27 years,” Peskin said.
“I had 13 magical years in the adult industry, but the last seven have been swimming up stream. It’s time to go with the tide.”
Peskin spent his entire adult life in the porn biz, which he is proud to say.
“Thanks to all of my buyers and my dear friends and those that stuck by me through my good times and my times where I was trying to find my way,” Peskin continued. “I especially want to thank Mr. [Larry] Flynt, Mr. Jim Kohls, Steven Hirsch and my mentor Howard Levine. Without the knowledge they passed onto me I never would’ve dreamed of a new position like this and going to work selling commodities.”
He added, “I grew up in this industry and I have loved being a salesman. The people and the relationships I’ve made in this industry are unparalleled to me. So many of my dearest customers stuck with me through the good times and the bad times and the bad times again. They still believed in me and always supported me. I’m going to miss all of you dearly but I hope our paths will continue the same course. I started out as a kid and this industry has shown me the way as a man retired.”
