CENTRAL EUROPE — Performer Carlos Valdez, who was a mainstay in producer/director Giorgio Grandi's work, died late Monday night after being involved in a highway traffic accident, AVN has learned. He was 56.
Valdez, who was born in Angola, got his start in the industry in 1999 and had more than 700 credits to his name, according to IAFD.com. In addition to the hundreds of scenes he shot for Grandi and other PornBox-distributed producers, he worked over the years for companies including Clark Euro Angel, David Perry Productions, 21 Sextury and many others.
Performer Anna de Ville relayed the news of Valdez's death to AVN, noting that it was not directly due to the traffic collision in which he was involved; rather, he had gotten out of his vehicle and was attempting to stop other drivers when a semi-truck struck him, killing him instantly.
