CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Media Network is pleased to announce that hip-hop sensation Tyga will be performing at the 2013 AVN Awards. Get ready for Sin City to be renamed Rack City after the chart topping rapper performs at the show's 30th anniversary celebration.
Hot on the heels of making headlines across the country after revealing exclusively to AVN that he made his triple-X fantasies a reality through directing Rack City XXX: The Movie, in which he also stars in a non-sex role, Tyga will take to the stage Jan. 19, 2013 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for what promises to be the biggest AVN Awards yet.

Tyga is hyped to perform at the awards show, an event he's seen on TV.
"It's going to be a lot of fun being in Vegas, going to the awards and performing on stage," Tyga told AVN. "Once I saw it on TV I knew how big it was. It's the 30th anniversary and I know it's a big night. I got a little taste of porn now through doing my movie and playing the awards is going to be something else. I'm really looking forward to it and I plan on having a lot of fun."
This year has been a landmark one for the rapper as he's ascended to the top echelon of the hip-hop world. The 22-year-old Los Angeles native has racked up five tracks in the past year alone that have hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart including "Far Away," "Still Got It," "Rack City," "Faded" and "Make It Nasty." His biggest single, "Rack City," went double-platinum and became a Top 10 hit.
All five of his most recent hits come on Tyga's debut studio album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, released by Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment imprint of Cash Money Records. The disc features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Drake, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Chris Brown, Soulja Boy, Game and Pharrell Williams. Tyga recorded his first big hit with Brown on the track "Deuces," which was a Top 20 hit and was nominated for a Grammy award.
Tyga first rose to prominence in 2007 on the remix to Fall Out Boy's "Arm's Race," which also featured Kanye West and Travie McCoy, his cousin, the front man for Gym Class Heroes. When the remix became a hit, Tyga found himself performing the track on MTV's Video Music Awards that year.
He soon entered the studio to record some guest verses for his new friend Lil Wayne before shifting the focus to his solo career. As his first single, the hooky "Coconut Juice," climbed the charts in the spring of 2008, Tyga was hard at work on his debut album, No Introduction.
The AVN Awards historically has supported hip-hop and some of the genre's biggest names have performed at the show including Flo Rida, Chingy, Lil' Jon, Baby Bash and Too Short.
"This upcoming awards show is very special and is a big milestone in the company's history," AVN Media Network CEO Theo Sapoutzis said. "We're planning our biggest show yet to celebrate our 30th anniversary and we couldn't be happier that Tyga is coming to perform. It's going to be a blast."
The 2013 AVN Awards takes place Jan. 19, 2013 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with co-hosts Jesse Jane and Asa Akira.
