LAS VEGAS—In one of the most anticipated announcements of the 2018 AVN Show, Greg Lansky on Friday named Tori Black his 2018 Vixen Angel of the Year.
Black, the only two-time winner of the AVN Female Performer of the Year award, received a one-year exclusive contract for Vixen as well as a Tiffany brilliant-cut diamond 'V' necklace in front of a raucous crowd surrounding Lansky’s luxury booth at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.
AVN Hall of Fame performer Nikki Benz, the “Director of Vibes” for Vixen this year, got hundreds of fans chanting both Black and Lansky’s names after the announcement was made—all of which was being streamed live on the official Vixen Instagram from inside Muse Hall at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
“Thank you so much, I can’t believe it!” Black shouted. “I’m blushing so hard!"
Wearing vintage black-and-white Jordan high-tops, red Vixen lingerie and black fishnet stockings, Black hopped on one of the couches and twerked to the rap music before joining a parade of fellow adult stars in a champagne toast. The lineup of porn girls prancing around the red-carpeted booth was a veritable who’s who in adult entertainment—Riley Reid, Angela White, Nicole Aniston, Leigh Raven, Ana Foxxx, Harley Dean, Vicki Chase, Lana Rhoades and Stephanie West all were spotted along with the 2017 Vixen Angel of the Year Kendra Sunderland, who placed Black’s necklace around her neck.
Black addressed the fans again: “Thank you guys for all the love. You guys have been so amazing. I cannot wait to get more dirty for you guys!”
The native of Seattle returned to performing in boy/girl scenes last year after a seven-year hiatus, debuting her comeback for Vixen.com in November with Jean Val Jean in a stytlish homage to the ’90s cult classic Basic Instinct. Then in December she was named Vixen Angel, teaming with Lansky on a breathtaking photoshoot that saw her posing in Vixen lingerie 1,000 feet above Los Angeles while hanging out of a helicopter.
“Tori Black is one not in a million, she’s one in a trillion,” Lansky told AVN. “When she wanted to come back, I thought this was the perfect place for her.”
Derek Hay, who is Black's longtime agent at LA Direct Models, echoed Lansky’s sentiment.
“Tori Black is like Harry Kane, she keeps setting new records,” Hay said, drawing a comparison to the star striker for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League and England’s national soccer team. “I think this year is going to be a spectacular year for her.”
Before revealing Black as his Angel of the Year, Lansky got everyone warmed up by giving away more than 300 free memberships to Vixen by shooting tickets out of a gold Cash Cannon and tossing additional handfuls into the throng. His Vixen Angels also made it rain with wads of dollar bills “because it’s fucking fun!” Lansky said.
Black, who won the 2010 and 2011 AVN Female Performer of the Year awards, told AVN she was thrilled with tonight's honor.
“The first thing that I think to myself is Greg Lansky has built an empire,” Black said. “And I built my own empire in my own right but the fusion of the two brands I think is just going to be absolutely unstoppable.
“I’m so impressed by his professionalism and constant attention to detail and the fact that he just pushes every girl he works with to the next level and I don’t just mean sexually, I mean artistically.”
Black continued, “I feel like I’m really driven and more creative than I’ve been allowed to be in the past and I’m excited to have a team that’s willing to go to all heights, literally, to achieve something new and groundbreaking.”
Lansky is the two-time AVN Director of the Year whose studios—Blacked, Tushy and Vixen—have won a combined 31 AVN Awards since 2015.
