CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Comedienne Thea Vidale will co-host the 2009 AVN Adult Movie Awards Show on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, with bestselling hip-hop artist Flo Rida to perform as the show's musical guest.
Vidale co-hosted the show once before with Savanna Samson in 2005 and had the crowd in stitches with her brand of raunchy humor. She feels right at home with AVN's adult industry crowd.
"Everybody [in the adult industry] is out of their fucking minds and that's where I need to be, with crazy people," says Vidale.
"She's one of the funniest comedian hosts we've ever had," notes AVN Awards Show producer Gary Miller. "She is the only female comedian host we've ever had for the AVN Awards. There's a different dynamic when you have a woman up there because she can do different types of humor that a man can't. That's one of the advantages that you get with her."
This year, expect Vidale to get political. "I would be a fool not to talk about Obama," Vidale adds. "This is the first couple in the White House in a long time that's fucking. Usually we have them motherfuckers just having parties. But we got a bona fide man and a hot-looking woman. Ain't no telling what's going on in the White House."
Vidale's co-hosts this year will be gonzo stars Belladonna and Jenna Haze. "I'm looking forward to meeting them," Vidale continues. "I hear they're both very cute — and naughty. As long they don't ask me to eat [pussy], I'm good. Not that I've never ate none, I'm just saying don't be asking me in front of everybody."
At some point during the 2009 AVN Awards Show, hip-hop superstar Flo Rida will take the stage and make show history. "He will be the biggest selling artist that we have ever had perform," says Miller. Rida's flagship single, "Low," has been on the Billboard charts for over 55 weeks and is the best selling digital download of all time.
"He will be there and he will be performing his biggest hits," adds Miller.
"Let the pussy licking and dick sucking begin!" exclaims Vidale.
