Talent Agencies Jointly Pledge to End Disparate Scene Rates

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—A collection of the majority of operating adult talent agencies released a joint statement Wednesday afternoon pledging, among other overtures, to discontinue the practice of charging disparate scene rates based on race.

The statement follows:

The Adult Industry’s leading Talent Agencies issues the following statement in Support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

The undersigned Adult Talent Agencies are united in support of the Adult Talent Community, and the movement to change the systemic racism that has plagued this industry for all too long.

First and foremost, we would like to state that we are listening to you, and we recognize the need for change. We acknowledge our systemic complicity and participation, and most importantly our gratitude to all of you who have sacrificed to bring awareness which will ultimately lead to paving a better, safer and healthier industry for all of us.

The first of many changes, we agreed to implement a united policy regarding Talent Rate disparity associated with any Talent receiving a higher or lower rate of pay, due to the color of a person’s skin, race, ethnicity, religion or creed.

We also acknowledge the work that needs to be accomplished in other areas of concern within our industry, and will continue to develop united policies that will ensure the health and safety for all Talent. As the nation evolves, we intend to take this moment to evolve within the adult industry as well.
