Tone Bekkestad, a meteorologist for Sweden’s TV4, has been suspended for three months for posing for a men’s magazine.
The station told the Swedish publication VG Nett today that Bekkestad’s pose in tight, low-cut jeans and an open black blazer with her bare breasts partially exposed, was improper for its broadcast personalities.
Kinna Bellander, a spokeswoman for the station, said the photos “don’t fit what TV4 stands for.”
Bekkestad said she was duped by Slitz magazine which she claimed had promised to use less revealing pictures. Magazine officials said they did not mislead Bekkestad and that she had a good time during the photo session.
