Sunny Leone Forms SunLust Pictures

LOS ANGELES - Vivid contract girl Sunny Leone has formed her own video production company, SunLust Pictures.

"I've been talking to Steve Hirsch at Vivid about doing my own production for about two or three months," Leone told AVN. "From the beginning, Steve was very encouraging and supportive, so we struck a deal together for Vivid to handle the U.S. distribution."

Leone and partner Daniel Weber plan to shoot the first SunLust movie in October for January release.

"We're working on creating something that's maybe not as fun and happy as the movies people have seen me do before," Leone told AVN. "It will be really edgy, high-fashion and very beautiful. I'll be doing boy/girl and girl/girl scenes. We don't have a title yet for the first movie, but we've decided on a director. I don't know what name he's going under yet; we're giving him a chance to bring a different element to our industry for his first really big film. We're open to his ideas, and he's open to ours."

Leone has three more Vivid movies scheduled for release in the coming months. She will continue to work with the studio on promotions as a Vivid Girl.

"This is all about doing everything on my own while having the support of Vivid," Leone said. "I'm still a Vivid Girl, and we have a great relationship; we're just growing the family."

The popular XXX actress is also excited about her upcoming mainstream appearances, which include the Fox Reality series "My Bare Lady" and a role in the English-language Bollywood feature Pirate's Blood (due for October release.)

"It was a lot of fun," Leone said of her Bollywood debut. "We shot the movie in Oman and India; I was in Oman for about three weeks. It's about three different couples, and we all have our own adventures. The movie has a really diverse cast; there's a Bollywood actor, a Canadian actor and a Filipino actor. Some of us get killed, and some don't - I don't want to give too much away!"

Leone told AVN she's been offered merchandising deals for a jewelry line and a clothing line - but her main focus is on launching her video company.

"We're taking it one step at a time," she said. "I have a hand in every aspect of this, and I'm working with very good writers and directors. I'm really excited about it, and I think the fans will be, too."

Leone will celebrate the launch of SunLust this Saturday night at Plumm, located at 246 W. 14 Street in New York City. The party is tied in with her appearance at the Exxxotica NY show in Edison, N.J.
