Stormy Daniels Settles With Michael Cohen, Former Attorney

LOS ANGELES—Stormy Daniels has reached a settlement with Michael Cohen and her former attorney Keith Davidson in her lawsuit that accused both of working together to protect President Donald Trump, according to several published reports.

The settlement with Davidson has been executed, according to federal court documents, while the settlement between Daniels and Cohen has been agreed to in principle and is being finalized, CNN reported. The setttlement details have not been disclosed.

Daniels sued Cohen, Trump's former personal attorney, and Davidson last June, accusing them of brokering a deal in which she was paid $130,000 to prevent her from talking about her alleged sexual relationship with Trump. The President has denied the affair but his attorneys admitted to approving the hush payment.

Davidson said the settlement is a “walk-away” and that no money will be exchanged, according to KTLA.

Daniels also sued Trump for failing to sign the hush agreement and argued the agreement was void. Cohen and Trump agreed with Daniels that the agreement would not be enforced. But Daniels' former attorney Michael Avenatti said she wanted the judge to rule that what Cohen and Trump did was illegal.

The judge dismissed that case in March. Daniels also filed defamation suits against Cohen and Trump that were dismissed.
