LAS VEGAS - Nikki Jayne can't wait for her first Vivid Entertainment movie to hit the streets in September.
"It's my style," Jayne said Tuesday as the Storerotica show got underway at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. "It's more extreme."
The newest Vivid Girl revealed that The Nikki Jayne Experiment will showcase her doing anal and double-penetration. Jayne joined Vivid director of sales David Peskin and fellow Vivid Girl Meggan Mallone at the expo that included a mixture of booths that represented the synergy between adult production studios, retailers, novelty manufacturers and the gentlemen's club industry.
The English beauty Jayne is now available for feature dancing in a new deal in which the Lee Network joined forces with her agency LA Direct Models and Lisa Ann Talent Management to form an international dance booking juggernaut.
The top feature entertainers in the country have assembled in Vegas this week as the 16th annual Gentlemen's Club Expo runs in conjunction with Storerotica. The expo will culminate tonight with the 11th annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show inside The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Meanwhile adult industry leaders such as Vivid, IVD, Anabolic, Hustler and Red Light District used the combined tradeshow as an opportunity to promote their newest releases.
Anabolic Sales Manager Dan Motola unveiled the company's new line of t-shirts for girls at the show, and said he also planned to raise the awareness about Anabolic's new B2B site and growing presence in the Blu-ray market.
The Belvedere vodka marketing executives displayed giant bottles of the beverage while models served shots and mixed drinks at their circular booth. But there was plenty to see Tuesday, as just few yards away at the Penthouse booth, a topless girl wearing tiger-stripe bodypaint stood next to another girl painted like a cat. Penthouse Pet of the Year Erica Ellyson and fellow Pet Taya Parker turned heads upon their arrival. The Mississippi beauty Ellyson who recently moved to Las Vegas spoke of her love for Popeye's chicken and how she planned to host the Penthouse Club's Leather and Lace party Tuesday night.
Hustler showed off several new pieces in its Hustler Lingerie line as well had sample displays of Hustler Men's Underwear and Hustler Costumes.
Theresa Flynt said Dec. 3 would mark the 10-year anniversary of the Hustler Hollywood chain of upscale retail establishments. While she was instrumental in building the still growing retail operation, now Larry Flynt's daughter helps LFP wherever she is needed.
"I'm the troubleshooter," she said. "I do whatever he needs me to do."
As the 10-year milestone approaches, Theresa said LFP is working on reinventing its stores with new product such as a Hustler Couture line of high-end clothes. She was one of the speaker's on Monday's "Diversify or Die" panel designed to assist retailers in this time of decreasing DVD sales. Flynt also said plans were in the works for the return of Hustler Toys.
Dan O'Connell, owner of Girlfriends Films, told AVN he was attending Storerotica for the first time because he wanted to meet the retail store owners that were circulating the floor.
"I wanted to come out and see what it's all about," O'Connell said. "If there's store owners here, I should be here."
O'Connell brought help in the form of rising star Faye Reagan, who was signing 8x10 photos of herself in front of a flats-creen television playing soft Girlfriends trailers.
"Faye is one of our best actresses of the young girls, the under 25 group that we shoot," O'Connell said. "That's important because we're really into storylines.
"She is the quintessential teeny-bopper who can act."
Moose, the sales manager for Girlfriends, said he designed a glossy, tri-fold promotion packet for the show that includes a 12-minute DVD teaser with trailers from five different series, box cover artwork and the company bio.
Meanwhile, Shane's World contract girl Casey Parker teased photographers by flashing her breasts in between autographing a picture of her holding her custom-made surfboard from her sponsor Surf Prescriptions.
She said her website caseyparker.com is etched on the tip of her board and other surfers ask her what that is when they see her in the water.
"I tell them to go to the site and find out. It's good promotion," she said with a smile. Parker said she is considering returning to professional surf competitions in her spare time.
Parker is gaining popularity on the feature dance circuit.
"So this show is good because I can meet store owners who buy my movies and club owners who want me to feature," she added.
Across from Parker, Jenny Buettner had a practically nude model wearing her newly patented strapless G-string from the Taboo Collection of her Shibue Couture lingerie line.
"I designed it when my sister was getting married and I didn't want to have any strap lines showing through my dress," Buettner said. "It's been going out into high-end boutiques and now we're getting a lot of interest from adult retailers."
IVD sales ace Jason Park said his company was promoting its diverse line of IVD Exclusives at Storerotica. Park pointed to three tables full of Tom Byron's Evolution Erotica DVDs, the Daring Media line, New Porn Order, Incredible Digital and several starring vehicles from their recently retired contract star, Tera Wray. He said the first volume of Bubba Raw featuring high-profile radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge had been moving quite well since its late July release. The debut also has an appearance from UFC superstar Chuck Liddell.
Heartbreaker Films co-owner Nina Mercedez, a longtime feature dancer, said she had been attending the expo for 10 consecutive years. This year she is helping show organizers by working the Awards Show ticket booth in front of the convention. Among the numerous other industry sightings on Tuesday were Dennis Paradise from Paradise Marketing, Miss Nude 2008 Jaded Dawn, Sunny Lane, Goldstar Modeling owner Joel Lawrence and Hall of Fame performer Jill Kelly.
