Stormy Daniels Veers Into CBD Game, Other Projects

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The latest venture from adult actress, director and Donald Trump foil Stormy Daniels branches out into a whole new arena: The AVN Hall of Famer has launched a lubricant that's infused with CBD oil for that "special feeling" during sex—and the rollout, under the brand name TeamXOXO, was so successful that it's already out of stock.

But that's hardly all. On March 2, Daniels tweeted, "Who will test my CBD pre-rolls & give me an HONEST opinion? I'm prelaunching 2 of our new products & giving them out at cost. Go to http://teamxoxo.com & use promo code TWITTER for $3 2pack pre-rolls. I'm only offering this for next 2 days. What CBD product should I release next?"

CBD, whose proper name is cannabidiol, is one of 113 identified cannabinoids that can be found in marijuana plants. However, CBD products aren't supposed to get their users high, although they are used widely as sleep aids, so the question remains, what's in those CBD prerolls that TeamXOXO is selling over the internet, and which residents of which states are eligible to buy them? Guess we'll know when/if they arrive in the mail.

UPDATE: According to a recent New York Times article, thanks to the 2018 federal "Farm Bill," selling hemp products that won't get you high—that is, that have less than a certain percentage of THC—is apparently just fine in every state, though it hasn't been tested in many of them. So what's likely in TeamXOXO's prerolls is low-THC hemp buds that have been treated with Delta-8 CBD, which according to the article is “very similar to its psychoactive brother THC,” giving users the same relief from stress and inflammation, “without the same anxiety-producing high that some can experience with THC.”

But marijuana has long been popular in the adult entertainment community, with at least one actress having developed a strain of "Gorilla Glue" (no, not the stuff that caused that woman so much difficulty with her hair) and at least one studio head opening his own dispensary in L.A., and even as long ago as 1949, an article in Mechanix Illustrated noted, "Some young people try marijuana as a lovemaking stimulant. They have been told that one moment of romantic passion seems to linger for hours under the influence of marijuana."

So one can only wish Daniels success in her new business venture—but of course, that's not all she's been involved in. As another tweet states, in response to a tweeter's question, "I haven't done porn in 3 years but get offers daily. Instead I have been busy being successful at other stuff... like being an author, standup comic, horror movie director, filming a TV show, speaking at Oxford, doing http://Teamxoxo.com CBD & making trolls like you look dumb." And let's not forget her comic book series, Stormy Daniels Space Force!

About that TV show: It's called Spooky Babes, and Daniels is still editing the first season. She and her partners in the venture began shooting in 2019 in a number of "haunted houses" in Georgia and the Carolinas, including The Conjuring House, Villisca Axe Murder House, Salem, Sallie House, Beattie Mansion, Vaile Mansion, Malvern Manor, and even the house where Lizzie Borden (the axe murderer, not the porn star) gave her victim 40 whacks. A trailer for the show can be found here.

About that horror movie: Though Daniels has appeared in two mainstream horror movies, The Witches of Breastwick 1 & 2, both directed by Jim Wynorski, it was reported as early as 2009 that Daniels would be directing a horror flick of her own. Since then, there's been no word, though IMDb.com has teased the title Axe 2 Grind, which is expected to be released in 2022—and the busty blonde has appeared at numerous horror-oriented conventions and reportedly has even done tarot card reading at some of them.

So for all those fans who are waiting for Daniels to get back in the XXX groove again, our advice to them is, "Don't hold your breath." And also, keep checking her Twitter feed to find out when she'll be appearing at conventions and comedy clubs in the future.
