Veteran sex star Keri Windsor is spreading her wings and flying to Phoenix where she is organizing the first annual Captured Amateur Home Video Contest.
The contest is open to all members of Club Chameleon, the popular Phoenix swingers club, and the best submissions will be screened there during the July 25-26 event. Windsor, Nina Hartley, Steven St. Croix and one of Chameleon's owners will be acting as judges. KSEX host Wankus will host the main event.
There are five categories for the competition: Best Oral, Best Girl/Girl, Best Outdoor, Best Couples and Best Blooper. Submissions must be received by July 17 and be no longer than 10 minutes.
While potential stars must be members of Club Chameleon, Windsor said that joining is simple and there is already a large pool to draw from.
"I think they have 16,000 members," Windsor told AVN.com. "On any given night, there are 600 couples there. It's enormous. On weekends they have a chef come in and prepare filet mignon and food that is to die for. It's super nice and really modern. They have several theme rooms, including a doctor's office room and a dungeon room.
"We expect to receive anywhere from 100 to 150 submissions, with the hopes of more," she continued. "We have also made the club open to members who have yet to shoot an amateur video, with a cameraman available to shoot them at the club any time they want."
Friday nights are the one night a week that single men are allowed in the club, so on July 15 Hartley and St. Croix will be doing a signing. On Saturday the competition begins, with Wankus overseeing the fun. They'll warm up with entertainment like a So You Wanna Be a Porn Star? game show and then the best videos will be screened for the masses.
"They have three huge big screen TVs and we're going to play the videos so everyone can see them," Windsor said. "Then the judges will select the best one."
The entire event will be filmed and the footage included in a DVD of the event, which will also feature the top five submissions and a Windsor/Hartley girl/girl scene.
"I'm going to market it toward the amateur swinging lifestyle," Windsor said. "I'm going to distribute it myself over the Internet and it should be out no later than September."
The stars of the winning tape will win a trip to Hedonism III, a gold membership to Club Chameleon and "they will have the option to have a Website with a Web cam, and I'll personally pay for the bandwith and design the site, paid for, for a year. And, of course, they'll be in a video which is being distributed."
Windsor has confidence that the XXX market is ready for some quality amateur entertainment and that the swingers will fit the bill.
"I come from the feature part of porn in that I've done more features than gonzo and I definitely feel that there's more of a market for amateur because, as a viewer, what's better than being turned on by people who are truly turned on?" she said. "As a viewer, I can tell, and I think most people can tell, if the people are really into it. Amateur people are not actresses, they're there because they want to be. It's a market that's definitely worth going after."
