Sin City Entertainment announced this morning that they have terminated their two-year contract with performer/director Aurora Snow.
Snow, who won Female Performer of the Year and Best All-Girl Feature (JM Productions’ The Violation of Aurora Snow) at the 2003 AVN Awards, was also nominated for Best Actress – Video and Most Outrageous Sex Scene at the 2005 Awards. Snow has been one of adult’s most popular performers over the past few years, making appearances on the Howard Stern Show and recently rated number 32 on Genesis magazine’s Porn’s Hot 100 Stars in the July 2005 issue.
Sin City and Snow signed the two-year deal last year.
“We have appreciated the work she has done for the company thus far and are still in discussions regarding her continuing to direct titles,” said Sin City General Manager Scott Justice. “We wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors.”
Snow stated that she was contemplating her future in the industry and that she was continuing her college studies in hopes of earning a law degree.
Sin City also announced that Shay Sweet’s contract would not be renewed, leaving Hannah Harper as the company’s sole contract performer/director. Justice said the company has no plans to sign other contract performers in the near future.
Sweet will continue to work with Sin City on a project-by-project basis.
The decisions seemed to signal a new direction for Sin City, which Justice described as “harder-edged.”
