The third annual Best Adult Awards (BAA) took place Saturday evening, marking the last day of Canadian adult webmaster conference Qwebec-Expo. YNOT Payment President Bob Rice hosted the ceremony, which was held in the ballroom of the Montreal Marriot Chateau Champlain.
The French artwork and red velvet lining that adorned the walls of the ballroom provided an ideal backdrop for the awards show, which honors consumer adult sites and the webmasters and performers who run them.
YNOT Radio host Rice treated the audience to countless quips between awards and presenters’ announcements, as well as between a number of musical performances by alternative porn rock band Wank Punter.
Winners include PlayboyPlus.com (best mega site), HerFirstAnalSex.com (best anal site), HustlerTaboo.com (best fetish site), SexyMomsOnline.com (best mature site), LightSpeedGirls.com (best teen site), CircleJerkBoys.com (best gay site), GirlyGangBang.com (best lesbian site) NaughtyAllie.com (best solo site), CouplesSeduceTeens.com (best reality site), LiveCamNetwork (best Webcam site), SheMaleHotMovies.com (best tranny site), AdultWhosWho (best resource site), PlatinumBucks.com (best affiliate program), CuriousToyBoy (best male personality), AVN Online (best adult company of the year), Aimee Sweet (best female personality of the year), and Jon from Too Much Media for honorary achievement.
Affiliate program TopBucks claimed two awards, and account manager for the company Patrizia Gentili said the show was a great ending to the last day of the expo.
“We love being here and being involved with both events,” says Gentili. “There’s a sincere atmosphere here, and this is a great place for business to grow.”
David Brinton, co-owner and founder of PrideBucks says it was great to be honored this year, especially coming on the heels of a number of awards the company received earlier this year.
“Everything has really come full circle for us,” says Brinton.
Qwebec-Expo and BAA organizer Michel Plant thanked everyone for participating in both events and pointed out that without the great people who make up the online adult industry there wouldn’t be an adult industry.
“Performers, business owners, webmasters—thank you for being a part of this,” says Plant.
An after-party was held at the upscale Hotel W, sponsored by 2Much.net.
2Much President Mark Prince, whose site won for best webcam site, says he had never worked in an industry that was as friendly and professional.
“The great attitudes and ethics of this industry is one of the reasons this show and the expo are geared for growth and success.”
