Services Scheduled For Tony Lovett

LOS ANGELES—Funeral services are scheduled for noon Monday, Feb. 3, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park-Hollywood Hills.

Lovett, 52, passed away Sunday in his sleep at home. The cause of death is unknown.

A reception will take place after the services in Granada Hills. The cemetery is located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068.

Lovett was the former publisher and editor-in-chief of AVN, as well as the creator of the former publication AVN Novelty Business. Prior to his work with the company, he had worked in the film sector of the adult industry, directing several movies and serving as the head of VCA.

Additionally, he was a pop culture enthusiast who developed a deep love affair with the grittier side of Los Angeles. He turned that passion into a cult-favorite travel guide called L.A. Bizzaro: The Insider’s Guide to the Obscure, the Absurd and the Perverse in Los Angeles that he co-authored with Matt Maranian. A second edition of the book was printed in 2009.

Lovett is survived by his wife Randi, his mother Mary and his daughter Ivy.

AVN will publish more details of the services as they become available.
