‘Saw: A Hardcore Parody’ Release Party Attracts Mainstream Creator

BEVERLY HILLS—Blue Circus Entertainment’s Saw: A Hardcore Parody is full of shocking twists and turns, but  the tables were turned on the masterminds behind the film at the official release party last Friday at Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills. Jaws dropped when the event caught the attention of mainstream Saw franchise creator James Wan, who showed up give the film a nod and meet the man who parodied his creation.

Girls & Corpses magazine was there to unveil the new fall issue with stunning cover model Andy San Dimas, and the cast and crew of Dick Chibbles’ Saw: A Hardcore Parody joined in to celebrate the movie’s second pressing after it sold out in record time.

The excitement rose with the unexpected appearance of original Saw franchise creator James Wan, and director Mike Mendez (Gravedancers, The Convent) amidst the crowd of scantily-clad beauties and top Adult industry players. A smile was seen on Wan’s face from the time he walked in the door to the end of the party when he left.

“I was utterly shocked to see him walk in the door; it was an honor to meet James,” said director Dick Chibbles. “Then, to my surprise, he asked me for my autograph.”

The cast and crew posed with Wan and Mendez for a number of photos up on the stage.

The press was there in force along the red carpet and inside the event. The entertainment included Maria the Snake Babe from Las Vegas showing off her amazing collection of rare reptiles, the crowning of the Girls & Corpses Miss Skanksgiving Pageant winner, and amazing side show feats of the human body performed by Murrugun the Mystic, who took the stage and wowed the audience with sword swallowing, hammering nails through his head, and skewering his flesh like a human pincushion. For his finale, he invited the audience to come up and staple money to his body with a real industrial staple gun. James Wan joined in the fun and stapled a $20 bill to Murrugun’s forehead.

“The night was insane. We would like to congratulate Lilly Lashes who won the Miss Skanksgiving beauty competition over 10 other writhing babes, and then paraded on stage with her human skin sash, bone crown and golden cock trophy. What a night!" said Rob “Corpsy” Rhine, Deaditor-in-Chief of Girls & Corpses magazine.

Cast members of Saw: A Hardcore Parody attending the event included Syren DeMer, James Bartholet, David Lord, Britney Amber, Heidi Mayne, Jack Vegas, Evan Stone, Jordan Lane, and Daisy Layne.

“I was very excited to play Det. Humpsey in this production, it was an incredible opportunity,” said lead actress Syren DeMer. “The party was full of energy and it was wonderful to see the cast and crew all together again, it was such an unforgettable evening.”
