San Francisco PornFilmFestival Seeks Submissions

SAN FRANCISCOPink and White Productions and organizers of the 2022 San Francisco PornFilmFestival are asking for submissions for the annual event, which will return for the third year as a mix of virtual and in-person programming Aug. 24-27.

Adult and erotic films of all country origins, languages, lengths and release dates are eligible for consideration. The submission deadline is March 15. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by May 1.

"When the San Francisco PornFilmFestival launched in 2020, its debut was envisioned as a two-day theatrical event; however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced organizers to quickly adapt and take the festival entirely online," explained a festival rep. "It then bloomed into a five-day virtual attraction, streaming over 90 films in seven programs, with audience Q&As, filmmaker talks and on-demand content reaching more than 1,500 viewers worldwide.

"Thanks to the overwhelming success of a crowdfunding campaign championed by sextech and adult communities, the virtual festival was developed and powered in-house by the company's adult film streaming platform PinkLabel.TV."

As vaccinations increased throughout California and around the world, festival organizers were able to present in-person events in 2021 alongside virtual screenings. In 2022, the festival will once again offer audiences a mix of in-person and online presentations.

"Going digital granted accessibility benefits for organizers, artists and audiences alike, and proved that online screenings are well worth repeating, even when it is once again safe to go to the theater," noted the rep. "Therefore, organizers plans to continue our hybrid virtual/cinema format that captures the best of both screening experiences."

In-person cinema screenings, meet-ups and other physical activities will take place in San Francisco under current COVID health and safety guidelines.
