LOS ANGELES—Reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year, four-time AVN Best Actor, and acclaimed director Seth Gamble places starlet Ryan Reid and top male talent Mick Blue together in the sixth scene of his Wicked Pictures limited series Reckless, released today on Wicked.com.
Produced by four-time AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun, Reckless is an eight-scene epic written, directed by and starring Gamble. The new episode, "Don't Bother Screaming, No One Will Come," sheds crucial new light on the plight of racing enthusiast and tech genius Silas Knight portrayed by Gamble in his first lead role for one of his own narrative projects). The new scene's release comes as the director's most recent Wicked projects, the sprawling eight-scene drama Privilege and the cinemacore extravaganza Goddess, received back-to-back Editor's Choice reviews in the August 2023 edition of AVN.
According to a provided synopsis, "'Don't Bother Screaming, No One Will Come' delves into the intricate world of enigmatic racing car driver-turned-guru Lucius Volkov (Blue), and secretive CPA Scarlet Page (Reid). Scarlet is far from the typical accountant, embodying the essence of the old adage 'she who holds the money holds the secrets.' Skillfully manipulating her clients into believing she has their best interests at heart, Scarlet's true intentions are shrouded in mystery, aligning her with the anti-heroes and femme fatales that populate Silas' shadowy world."
"Lucius Volkov is a crossover character from Deranged," Gamble revealed, referring to his 2023 AVN Grand Reel-nominated psychodrama. "This scene unveils more of his character's backstory. He's a fan of taking shortcuts in life to achieve his ends, and he takes a personal interest in Silas' tech to gain the edge needed to become the fastest driver on the circuit. Mick Blue, with his successful parallel career as a race car driver, brings authenticity and passion to the role, making him the perfect fit for this character. He gives Volkov a realistic, lived-in appeal."
Regarding Reid's performance, Gamble gushed, "Ryan has a charisma that is seductive and enchanting, yet also somewhat mysterious. She feels very natural, and a scene like this required someone with the flair of an exhibitionist while still coming across as a woman who keeps her secrets close to the vest. Ryan had literally never really done much acting before this project, but my production manager Ryan Ray and I diligently worked with her until she became comfortable. And by ‘comfortable,’ I mean she basically stole the show! She performed some very intense lines of dialogue, and nailed them all in her first takes. It was mind-blowing! Ryan delivered in every way with Mick, making this one of the most unforgettable sex scenes in the entire series."
"Reckless was something I was so scared to be a part of at first," Reid revealed. "With such a big movie, I didn’t want to let anyone down. But with Seth and Ryan Ray’s helpful coaching, it was obvious I was only letting myself down with negative thoughts by thinking I couldn’t do it! I really gave it my all and enjoyed every second of it."
