Rose McGowan Considering Lovelace Role

HOLLYWOOD - Rose McGowan is the latest Hollywood actress rumored to be considering the lead role in producer Brian Grazer's Linda Lovelace bio-pic Inferno.

According to news reports, McGowan may join Bill Pullman and Josh Lucas in writer/director Matthew Wilder's portrait of the late Deep Throat star. According to Fox News, Pullman has been tapped to play Hugh Hefner, and Lucas has been cast as Lovelace manager Chuck Traynor.

Scary Movie star Anna Faris had expressed interest in the Lovelace role, but recently decided against taking the part.  Angelina Jolie and Meg Ryan are among the other Hollywood names attached to the Lovelace movie rumor mill over the years.

The McGowan news coincides with the Los Angeles opening of Lovelace: A Rock Opera, a musical about the life of La Linda co-written by Go-Gos guitarist Charlotte Caffey and Anna Waronker.

An upcoming Showtime reality series will chronicle the making of rival Deep Throat remakes from Vivid Entertainment and Arrow Productions.
