Ron Jeremy to Release Memoir

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Harper Collins will release a memoir about AVN Hall of Famer Ron Jeremy in February. The book, Ron Jeremy: The Hardest (Working) Men in Showbiz sees the male performer dishing the dirt on the last twenty years of Hollywood scandal, the inner workings of the Adult industry, and a life filled with celebrities and gossip.

“I’m told there have already been 40,000 copies pre-sold, so there’s a lot of interest for it before it has even hit book shelves, and that’s great,” Jeremy told

“I was approached to do this book a very long time ago, but I just didn’t feel like it was the right deal or the right time,” Jeremy continued. “I still had a lot of stuff going on, and I might have missed including something in the book that happened the day after I was finished.”

A few of the things that Ron discusses in the book are a motorcycle ride which the led to the nickname “Hedgehog,” his rules for swinging etiquette, his Playboy mansion exploits and his never before discussed sexual romps through Howard Stern’s Infinity Broadcast studio.

“I wanted everything to be one hundred percent accurate, down to the smallest details,” added Jeremy. “I spent a lot of time with a ghost writer, as well as re-writing several parts that I thought weren’t exactly like it happened…it’s gotta to be the truth.”

Jeremy went on to say that he hopes the book will be filled with “holy shit, I didn’t know that” moments for readers. “There’s going to be a ton of things in the book that people didn’t know about me, and that’s great.

“I do want to stress that this book isn’t all about Adult movies…there’s a lot about my upbringing in there as well, along with all the wild and crazy experiences…but I think people will find it all interesting.”

In addition to his over 1,7000 adult titles, Jeremy has appeared in 60 mainstream films, was a consultant on Boogie Nights and 9 ½ Weeks, has appeared in 14 music videos, was on VH1’s “Surreal Life,” and starred in Pornstar, a movie about his life.
