Rod Fontana is riding the anal train hot and heavy for Outlaw Productions in a series called Ass Wrecked. Fontana just finished volume 5. "We started the series about two years ago," he says. "It's all anal. There's four scenes in each one. It sells really big. People love it.
"It's called Ass Wrecked," he adds, "but the premise is that Rod Fontana has this anal wrecking company. Instead of a wrecking yard or salvage yard, we wreck asses. Women come to us from all over. They have doctors' prescriptions to have their asses wrecked, or they've been in a bad relationship where they didn't get enough anal sex. They just gotta have it so we try to fulfill the obligation. I try to keep with the same guys over and over like Guy DiSilva, Tony Eveready, Tony Michaels. We do d.p.'s, double annals, whatever, and it's just really good."
Believe it or not, Fontana, a Vietnam veteran, started in the adult business in 1976 in New York. "I worked for a guy named Carter Stevens," says Fontana. "I was a police officer; I had just been hired and the city went bankrupt and laid off the last 2,700 cops they hired. I had a friend who was doing adult-stuff at the time- films and loops. He said why don't you come visit one of the shoots. I went and saw Carter Stevens. He says why don't you do this. I needed the money, so the first scene I did was with a guy named Jamie Gillis and some young blond girl. I worked in loops, and 8mm knock off stuff until about 1980 when I went back into the army. I got out in 1990 and just went right back into it in California.
Fontana: "It's funny. You mentioned anal. In the 1970's anal wasn't a big thing. We didn't do much of it. There wasn't a call for it."
G. Ross: "To me, the one significant difference that made anal scenes more erotic to watch back then was the fact that you didn't have tanning beds. Tan lines were more pronounced and natural."
Fontana: "One of the best anal scenes I ever did was in 1977 for Carter Stevens. It was a girl - I had no idea who she was - it was a loop we did on a pinball machine. Talk about your tan lines. She had these beautiful, beautiful tan lines; nice, natural tits, skinny little waist, nice little butt - when you saw those tan lines and just opened that ass up, it was just incredible. You don't get that anymore. And nice natural bush. I miss that."
Fontana, who's dating Liza Harper, calls her, "the anal queen - there's pretenders to the throne, but.." Fontana said he cast Harper when he was the resident director of Tight Ends. "I had cast her in a couple of things and worked with her," he said. "I probably shot her in about four or five movies. Then I started working with her in an Internet company. That was like two or three times a week. We just fell in love. It's one of those things that happened. It's kind of funny. She is the anal queen and I'm kinda like the anal king."
G. Ross: "And I guess it's time for anal babies to keep your kingdom going....the royal family."
Fontana [laughing]: "But it's been a really good relationship. We've been together now for a couple of years. Hopefully we'll get married. Right now we're concerned because she's back in France. She has to keep coming back and forth on a tourist visa. Hopefully we'll work it out where she comes back here on some type of semi-permanent basis and we can make some serious plans."
