BARCELONA - Porn icons Rocco Siffredi and Nacho Vidal will be among the guests of honor at the 15th annual Festival Internacional de Cine Erotico de Barcelona (FICEB) October 3-7 at La Farga de L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Aiming to "dynamize and normalize the sex industry," the festival is supported by local government entities, and this year will be offering an area for the first time specifically aimed at women.
With over 100,000 women estimated to have attended FICEB since its inception in 1992, organizers felt it was time to exclusively target their sex, and so under the direction of Laura Carrión, this section of the event was mapped out to include myriad activities from sexuality workshops to novelty demonstrations to striptease lessons.
For those interested in becoming performers, a seminar will be conducted by director Giancarlo Candiano (Latin Sex, The Mummy X), and there will also be a live set overseen by award-winning director Pierre Woodman.
The HeatGay and fetish-themed Club Bizarre sections will return, led by Carlos Resa and Paco Campos, respectively. Seminar topics will include new technologies and legal regulations.
In a pair of special presentations, Rocco Siffredi's latest feature, Furious Fuckers, will be given a gala screening, and there will be a formal tribute to longtime associate Nacho Vidal for his work on over 1,500 adult productions since entering the business in 1998.
Exhibitors at the event will include Woodman Entertainment, International Film Group, Vendiocio, Zona & Films, Macromedia, Orion, Ruta 69, Hermanos Lapiedra, Tanya Tanya, Max World Entertainment, Yolantranx, Grupo Vital and Kemaco.
