CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The first chapter of director Ricky Greenwood's new thriller Blue Moon Rising drops today at MissaX.com.
Greenwood's follow-up to his multiple AVN Award-nominated 2020 title A Killer on the Loose, the new werewolf-themed horror picture reunites him with that movie's Aiden Ashley and Dante Colle, both of whom garnered AVN Awards acting nominations for their performances. The screenplay for the production was penned by Shawn Alff, who also appears in a supporting role, from a story by Greenwood.
Teases a provided summary, "Aiden rides up on the back of a motorcycle driven by Charles (Colle). It's late and they are in the middle of nowhere ready to make passionate love. The full moon is out and Aiden wants more. This chance encounter at a dive bar creates a collision between the worlds of Aiden and Olive (Brooklyn Gray) that leads to Charles laying on the side of the road. Will they come out alive? Will the detective (Tommy Pistol) get to the bottom of this mystery?"
Commented Greenwood, "Since I started directing I wanted to direct a werewolf movie. Thanks to Missa I can check that off my bucket list. It was not an easy journey, but everyone involved in the project was on their 'A' game and we created something special. Alexxx Moon did a crazy job with the makeup and Aiden Ashley put this movie on her shoulders like a pro. She goes above and beyond for this movie and did it all like a pro. I hope she will get the recognition she deserves."
"I cut my teeth on creating these types of movies for werewolf fans starting back in 2013," Missa X added. "It is lovely to bring on top level talent to produce for these fans again as werewolf movies hold a special place for me. Having fans of the genre like Ricky and Alexxx work on a project like this, you knew from the start it would turn out great."
Filling out the supporting cast of Blue Moon Rising are Codey Steele, Brad Newman, Nicole Sage, David Lord, Dominic Pacifico, Nathan Bronson, Johnny Goodluck and Chad Alva.
