Retailer Attendance Increases at VSDA’s Home Entertainment Con

Home Entertainment 2005, the annual home video industry convention held by the Video Software Dealers Association, experienced a 10 percent increase in retailer attendees over last year’s convention, according to Bo Andersen, president of the VSDA.

The show, held July 25-28 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, also saw a 27 percent increase in the number of exhibitors.

“Exhibitors and attendees are universally telling us that this was a show that worked for them,” Andersen stated. “Over the past several years, we have made a number of improvements to our convention, and from my perspective, we have achieved the right combination of a professional business environment and quality entertainment. We were able to provide attendees with a great roster of celebrities, high-quality exhibitors presenting a broad spectrum of products, solid seminars, truly entertaining evening events and a wonderful location.”
