Rain Retires from Performing

Taylor Rain will no longer appear in front of the camera doing sex scenes, but rather direct and start a family.

“Taylor grew up in porn and this decision was very, very tough for her,” said Keith O’Connor, head of production for Defiance Films/Torrid Entertainment, which has an exclusive contract with Rain.

Rain informed company executives just before she shot her last on-camera sex scene in Assylum.

“She said this is something she wants to do," O'Connor, who is dating Rain, told AVN.com. "Among other things, Taylor wants to cross over and direct adult videos for Defiance Films/Torrid Entertainment."

On her website, lukeford.com, Rain said, “I also want to start a family. I’m sure everyone knows about me and Keith being a couple. Well, we want to have kids. Something’s are just more important than being a porn star."

Rain is again nominated for the honor of AVN Female Performer of the Year.

“Winning this award would be the perfect way to end my career,” she said.

Meanwhile, Defiance/Torrid Entertainment has extended Taylor’s contract by two years.

“She will be directing, making personal appearances and specials movies for us," O'Connor said. "Taylor will also become a spokeswoman for our company."

Rain will also be launching her own subscription site called clubtaylorrain.com on Friday. She will have exclusive hardcore photos on the site.
