LOS ANGELES—The performer known as Purple Bitch commands her sex scenes in neon wigs, colored contacts and revealing outfits inspired by Japanese manga characters.
Part cosplayer, part anal queen and all-around ass-kicker, the 25-year-old Russian phenom no longer is one of the adult industry’s best-kept secrets.
Not after a year full of hardcore releases that made her a fixture on Adult Empire’s bestselling video-on-demand charts to go with five nominations for the 2021 AVN Awards—including one for Best New Foreign Starlet.
“I’m really happy!” Purple Bitch, aka Taty, tells AVN. “It means so much for me! It’s really cool that the most popular award noticed our work! We worked so hard and it means that we did something cool.”
But what makes her market penetration more impressive is she is doing it by producing and directing her own content.
Taty produced, directed and starred in Projekt Melody Gets Strong Cock in Both, taking on Alex Noise in a scene that is nominated for Best Foreign-Shot Anal Sex Scene—a category stacked with several of the most accomplished performers and producers in Europe.
“I was scary when I knew about it—really!” says the excitable superstar in the making who was born in a small town in western Siberia, where she lived until 2018.
“There are so many talented performers and professional studios in this nomination. It’s amazing that our works were so highly appreciated.”
Purple Bitch also received nominations in three Fan-Voted AVN Awards categories—Hottest Newcomer, Favorite Indie Clip Star and Favorite Camming Cosplayer—for the 38th annual AVN Awards ceremony that will be live-streamed at 8 p.m. PST on January 23rd on AVN Stars.
“If someone told me this a year ago I would eat my dildo!” Taty jokes. “It’s really exciting. I hope I’ll win, because it’s my dream to get porn Oscar and I worked so hard some years! It will be great motivation for me working more and harder if I’ll win in one or more categories, because I will be so highly appreciated.”
It’s clear that thousands of fans around the world already appreciate the Purple Bitch brand of hardcore that is synonymous with energetic, nasty anal sex, big toys and lots of eye contact with the camera.
Taty calls her style “bright, crazy and unique!”
“Unique because I didn’t know any performers who filmed boy/girl cosplay porn when we started to film boy/girl scenes,” she says.
Taty and her performer/producer boyfriend Alex Noise started shooting their own scenes under her Purple Bitch label in spring 2019.
“We met amazing people—they are sex workers, too, and we decided to do a girl/girl/boy collaboration,” Taty explains. “I prefer working in the cosplay category. I love cosplay so much. We shoot a lot of anal stuff because we both love this kind of sex and it looks so good with cosplay.”
Taty says she draws inspiration from hentai, a genre of Japanese manga characterized by sexualized characters and plots.
“I love hentai with elves and orks and my boyfriend loves anal category. He loves high quality videos of Brazzers, Evil Angel, Tushy. So we try to film high quality videos as a porn studio and add something crazy from hentai,” she says.
It’s become a winning combination for Purple Bitch, who in December captured her first two Pornhub Awards—Top Cosplay Performer and Favorite Cosplayer. At press time she was the 41st ranked porn star in the world on Pornhub—No. 6 in the amateur sector—with more than 134 million video views and 697,000 subscribers to her channel.
When it comes to shooting techniques, Purple Bitch say they’re self-taught.
“We learned ourselves and it was so hard!” Taty continues. “My boyfriend was working in an advertising agency before working as a porn creator and he didn't know how to hold the camera in his hands. … We watched a lot of tutorials about editing and about electronics. In fact, we are still learning.”
If this is what the learning process looks like for Purple Bitch, consider the industry on notice for when she gets good at this.
At press time Purple Bitch’s scene “Sex With 4 Girls From Naruto” was the No. 1-selling VOD release on the AdultEmpire.com platform, which won AVN Best Web Retail Store for the 13th time in 2020.
Purple Bitch also had three more scenes in the Top 25 on Adult Empire in December, including “4Some DP Sex With Schoolgirls" (No. 6); “Ryuko and Satsuki Love 4Some” (No. 12); and “Triple Anal Training for Pokemon” (No. 23). Her four entries in the Adult Empire Top 25 were more than any other studio.
“We started to work with Adult Empire in summer,” Taty says. “My boyfriend was known about AE and he said that it’s the one of the top adult websites. We checked statistics of all adult sites and we decided to sell our videos there, because it’s good possibility to get more traffic.
“It’s very interesting fact that our scenes sell good there and I’m glad that we have many top sells on Adult Empire, because we compete with big popular productions.”
Ryan Wayne, VOD account manager for Adult Empire, tells AVN they began working with Purple Bitch in May 2020.
“After seeing her massive online following we were excited to be the first to offer her videos to our customers, and she was very eager to work with us,” Wayne says. “We released her first handful of videos and they shot straight to the VOD Bestsellers and Trending pages.”
Madison Greene, marketing rep for Adult Empire, tells AVN that Purple Bitch also climbed up the ranks on their “Popular Pornstars” page, which indexes performers based on a combination of metrics.
“If you look at that listing, it’s generally populated by established superstars, so it’s a notable achievement for Purple Bitch to be in the thick of it so quickly and consistently,” Greene says.
The VOD Account Manager Wayne notes that Purple Bitch was far from an unknown commodity when she arrived at AE.
“She already had a tremendous following on the various clips sites,” Wayne says. “I think it was more of an opening of American customer’s eyes. They’d never seen anything quite like it before—high quality hardcore manga/comic book cosplay, ahegao faces, etc. I think the novelty of it drew viewers in, and now her performances and personality keep them coming back for more.”
Ahegao, also known as the O-face, is a term in Japanese porn used to describe an exaggerated facial expression of characters during sex. Sometimes it’s rolling or crossed eyes or a protruding tongue.
“Initially, I think we wondered if she’d be able to sustain her popularity,” adds Adult Empire Marketing Rep Madison Greene. “We’ve seen numerous one-hit wonders over the years, but Purple Bitch has defied the odds.”
The No. 1-selling Purple Bitch scene on Adult Empire—“Hinata Wants Destroy Holes”—was the second scene they released in June 2020.
But Wayne points out that “Sex With 4 Girls From Naruto”—released in November—is catching up. Both scenes have reached No. 1 on Adult Empire’s VOD chart.
“Most of the videos on our VOD Bestseller list are full-length movies, so it’s been interesting to see Purple Bitch’s individual scenes performing so well,” Wayne says. “She’s had more videos hit our VOD Bestseller page than I could keep track of. Right now she has five different videos on the Bestseller page.”
On the Adult Empire International chart, Purple Bitch ranked No. 1 at press time.
“Right alongside powerhouses like Marc Dorcel, DDF, Private, etc.,” Wayne continues. “She has also helped spread the word to other foreign content creators about successfully selling videos on Adult Empire. Her friends Reislin and Leah Meow both have videos available on our network now and soon we will be working with Alice Bong (aka Hhead Shhot) and others.”
Wayne attributes Purple Bitch’s consistent release schedule, attractive cover images, ahegao and anime cosplay as the primary reasons she is skyrocketing in popularity.
Greene agrees.
“She also offers something new and unusual, and I think customers respond to that,” Greene reasons. “The content follows its own formula of sorts, certainly, but it’s one that diverges from the usual porn playbook.
“It captures fans of anime as well as open-minded consumers simply looking for something they haven’t seen before. Even her stage name has an on-the-nose, aggressive quality to it that makes people stand up and take notice. Many viewers want porn with an edge, and Purple Bitch provides that.”
Taty remembers being inspired seeing images from the alternative adult site SuicideGirls when she was a teenager.
“When I was 15 I loved Suicide Girls—it’s online magazine with naked informal girls with tattoos, piercings and colored hair,” Taty recalls. “I dreamed to be there as a model. So I had my first nude shooting with photographer when I turned 18.”
Now she also has her own page on Suicide Girls as Lure Suicide.
When Taty’s boyfriend returned from the army in 2016, they were looking for ways to increase their income when Taty suggested trying a webcam session.
“I knew about this job from my friends and I was very inspired, because I could show my body and earn money,” she says.
“… I said to him that ‘I want to spend online broadcasts on a webcam site and show my body.’ He said, ‘If you like the idea you should try it.’ Then he bought me my first web camera.”
Those early cam shifts on BongaCams were grueling.
“It wasn’t easy to start, but I tried so hard,” she says. “A lot of friends from our past condemned us and some of them told our relatives about my new job.”
Taty went from BongaCams to Chaturbate in April 2017. With the larger platform came higher stakes.
“It was so hard start to work on Chaturbate because big competition, so I worked 12 hours per day—six hours at morning, and six hours at evening.”
But it was on Chaturbate where Taty started to build the global fan following she enjoys today.
“I talked so much, yes, maybe my English isn’t perfect, but I loved to communicate with my viewers,” she says. “I also did cool shows hitting goals. I always used costumes, fuck machine, crazy toys.”
She adds, “I was crazy and I wanted to be on the front page there. And I did it. I love this webcam site so much! When I got fanbase I started camming three to five hours, three to five days a week. I stopped to work on Chaturbate in December 2019, because I had hard depression. I work only on offline content now because it takes a lot of time.”
Taty says it was her boyfriend’s suggestion to begin shooting porn together in 2017.
“He loves porn so much and he thought that people will love our videos,” she explains. “So we shot my first solo scene in August 2017. He was my cameraman… It was cool experience.”
Things escalated from there.
“Then we talked about boy/girl scenes that we can shoot together,” Taty continues. “But I was afraid of my fans, because I thought that they will be disappointed because I film with males. So my first boy/girl scene was in August 2018 and I got that I was too silly, because my fans loved my new videos so much!
“Now I understand that it was the best decision ever.”
Taty reveals that when she started on cam, her Purple Bitch persona had yet to be discovered.
"I had another stage name when I started to work as a webcam model—it was Lure Lady. But I wasn’t popular and I came up with idea of creating a new account and try again,” says Taty, who still uses @lure_lady as her Twitter handle. “I heard something that webcam site promotes new accounts. And I did it. I had purple hair in 2017, so I’m Purple now. I wanted something cocky (but maybe because I’m a bitch), so I added ‘Bitch.’ Hello, I’m a Purple Bitch.”
Taty sports six tattoos, including a heart with wings on her back, roses on her belly, a fox on her right hip and a portrait of her pet raccoon Kuzya on her left hip.
“But my fav is a tattoo sleeve,” she says. “I love it because it’s unique and bright, and it covers my ugly scars on my arm. I had alcohol addiction until I was 19 and I cut my hands because I felt bad.
“People asked what happened with my hand instead of asking how I was doing. I haven’t drank alcohol for six years and I’m happy that I covered this past on my right hand using tattoo sleeve.”
She adopted Kuzya the raccoon in 2016.
“It was my great dream to have a pet raccoon. I have dreamed about it for five years and couldn’t get it because I had no money for taking care of an animal. I saved him from poachers,” Taty explains. “Kuzya lives in a separate big room with his toys and interesting things in our house. We spend with him five hours a day, because raccoons are very social and Kuzya needs a lot of attention.
“Raccoon’s way of communication is a bite, so a lot of people don’t expect this and then refuse pet raccoons. It’s really sad. Kuzya bites, but I taught him to control his bite power, so when we play he doesn’t kill me haha.”
A former hairdresser, Purple Bitch worked several months in a beauty salon before she jumped into adult.
“This skill helps me to cut my wigs and do hairstyles for cosplays,” she says.
She loves traveling and reading in her free time and also maintains a collection of raccoon pins, pictures, figures and toys.
Taty says she has learned a lot from her adult career, not the least of which is “I am a good leader.”
“I learned that I can work so hard and reach my goals. I also learned that I can be a sexy girl,” she says.
“I learned to work on myself, on my thoughts. I am a very quick-tempered person, but now I can control it. It was very important in my relationships.”
She launched her official site, Purple-Bitch.vip, about a year ago as a “business card site.”
Purple Bitch says what she loves most about being a porn star is “that I can realize cool things myself.”
“I love how I look in frame, because it improves my self-esteem,” Taty continues. “I love that I care about my health. For example I wasn’t known that I should worry about my intimate health before working in adult industry. I love controlling all things in my life so I love to be a producer.”
As she looks ahead to 2021, Purple Bitch says the best has yet to come.
“I want to be more popular on different adult sites, so we will continue to work on it in future,” she says. “I hope that situation with COVID-19 will be solved and we will travel to different places to meet interesting people.”
