MONTREAL—Reporting an "explosion" in fan interest, AdultTime.com banner Pure Taboo announced plans Thursday to expand its lesbian-themed production slate in 2021.
Pointing to the "phenomenal success" of its multiple AVN Award-nominated series Lesbian Revenge, the taboo relations-geared label said it wants to offer "a wider array of story themes to meet customer demand."
"Lesbian Revenge is our most popular spinoff series for Pure Taboo," Adult Time marketing director Frank Stacy said. "The project was initially planned as a limited six-episode run, but due to high demand, it became an ongoing line with monthly updates."
Looking ahead, Stacy said the label plans to discontinue Lesbian Revenge with an eye toward more diverse storylines. "I think fans at this point in time wanted to see content that, while still being taboo, is not always tied into a specific plotline," he explained. "This will give our writing team more freedom and a larger sandbox to play in."
